By public transport
5 subway (T-bane) lines and 8 tram (trikk) lines serve the city as do about 50 bus lines. See http://www.trafikanten.no/ for more information.
The following public transportation ticket options are available to visitors:
Oslo Card
The 24 hour, 48 hour, 72 hour Oslo Card for adults/children includes unlimited travel on Oslo’s entire public transport systems, free museum admissions, free on street parking at metered parking places, free mini cruise, shopping discounts, cinema discounts, and more. A Oslo Family Card cost NOK 400 and is valid for 2 adults and 2 children. The Oslo Card can be purchased at the Oslo tourist information office at Oslo Central Station and at the Norwegian Information Centre, "Trafikanten" at Oslo Central Station, hotels, campsites, central post offices and downtown Narvesen newsagents. Single ticket
A single ticket on Oslo’s subway (T-Banen), tram and bus service cost NOK 20. Tickets can be purchased on board the bus, tram or ferry and at subway stations. There is one hour free transfer between any of the modes of transportation.
Flexikort (flexi card)
A 8 ride ticket (including transfers) valid for subway, bus or tram presently cost NOK 120.
Tourist Ticket
Gives 24-hour unlimited travel on all public transportation (including summer ferries to Bygdoy and a number of Oslo Fjord islands) for NOK 45. 7 day Tourist Ticket is also available for NOK 150.
By taxi
You can get a taxi by calling for a reservation or going to a taxi stand. It is also possible to hail taxis on the street. Look for taxis with the roof light on as this indicates that the taxi is available.
